Alpha® Flying Shears
Alpha® flying shears employ a simple, proven design for light duty applications. This technology is referred to as a swinging ram shear which transfers power via a non-linear motion through a single crankshaft with 2-4 links. The energy is transferred into the dieset to cut thinner wall tubing at elevated cuts per minute.
Alpha® flying shears have been known as the fastest, most reliable and most accurate tube-cutting equipment in the world. Alpha cutoffs process tubes and profiles at speeds from 50 to 1,000 feet (15 to 305 meters) per minute, distortion free, in-line for diameters ranging from .375” to 6.625” (9 to 168.3 mm) and all thicknesses from .030” to .250” (0.8 to 6.4 mm).
Alpha® Flying Saws
Alpha® flying saws are designed to meet and exceed the strictest tube and pipe cutting requirements. Alpha® flying saws provide a near burr-free milled cut for mill lengths on a variety of wall thicknesses and profiles. Both single and multiple head designs are available for small and large diameters or for product which is reshaped into squares or rectangles. Blade surface speed is adjustable for optimal blade life and cut quality with high-speed steel or carbide-tipped blades. Alpha® flying saws, perfect for heavy wall tube and pipe, are a simple cost-effective solution for demanding production requirements.
