A manufacturer of machinery and related items for producing tube, pipe, profile, and panel, T&H Lemont has roots that go back to 1960. Turek & Heller Machine Inc. was founded in 1960 as a manufacturer tube and pipe mills, roll formers, components, and roll tooling. Lemont Engineering Company was established in 1962 as a roll tooling designer and consulting firm to serve manufacturers in the same industry niche.

The two companies were established in response to market forces in the tube and pipe industry. Pipe products from the early days of the Industrial Revolution—originally formed by hand and closed by crimping, riveting, or welding—were overtaken at the end of the 19th century by seamless pipe made on machines. By the middle of the 20th century, technological developments had improved the quality of welded pipe products and the efficiency in manufacturing them. Both Turek & Heller and Lemont Engineering understood how to turn these developments into opportunities when they entered the market.

T&H Lemont’s location, near Chicago, is ideal. It’s near the center of the U.S., an industrial powerhouse and a top producer in industries such as steel, automotive, aerospace, and petroleum. T&H Lemont has contributed to this effort since it was founded, providing more than 370 tube and pipe mills to customers throughout the U.S. And, with approximately 27,000 square feet dedicated to turning, machining, assembly, and shipping, T&H Lemont has sufficient capacity to provide what its customers need, now and well into the future.
