June Recap
The new building is finally taking shape here at Consarc! The month began with some finishing touches on the concrete in the bases for the beams. Once all the concrete was complete, the ground was leveled once again, followed by the dispersal of beams and other framing material around the site. Very quickly after the concrete set, the crew began assembling the external frame of the building. So far, most of the front wall of the new building has been framed out, as well as the wall abutting the current warehouse wall.
It has only been a few days since the crew began framing the building, and the progress is incredible. Although we are not rounding third quite yet, we are at a point where we are able to look back and see how far we’ve come. As our warehouse continues to fill up with new orders, we now have a physical space to look at and know that soon our capacity will expand.
With the additional space comes additional job opportunities. A small fraction of Consarc’s manufacturing staff works in a separate facility nearby, but we’ll be able to reintegrate them into our main facility once the expansion is complete, improving speed of communication and increasing efficiency.
Consarc’s facility expansion comes at a critical moment, providing the space and capability needed to sustain the production demands driven by a historic surge in orders. As new talent joins our growing workforce, that influx is helping build the momentum essential for long‑term success. Many Consarc team members have built their careers here over decades, and this expansion ensures that our legacy of long‑term retention continues alongside ongoing growth for years to come.
Within the next few weeks, it is expected that the rest of the external framing will be complete, and the building will begin to be enclosed with the walls and roof. Once the roof is installed, the construction crew can begin framing out and shaping the building interior.
Check back each month to see how construction is progressing!
