CS-090 Cold Saw
The CS-090 cold saw is a high-speed machine for burr free tube measuring up to 3.5 inches in diameter. This cold saw can provide cut lengths over a wide variety of mill speeds with an unrivaled degree of accuracy and has been tuned to allow the moving carriage to operate with a very high degree of precision. An AC induction motor accelerates the carriage and a ball screw powered by an AC servo motor drives the spindle forward into the product. The AC induction motor is controlled by a variable frequency drive which is interfaced with a real time operating system. This system interfaces the inputs and outputs of various feedback and devices to achieve control of the machine and its peripherals. A control console is provided to allow the operator to input data pertaining to the production schedule which will allow the machine to run with little or no operator interaction.
