MetlSaw CS2

The CS2 is one of the fastest, most accurate fully-automated cutoff saws on the market for non-ferrous extrusions and plate cutting. Used by both extruders and service centers, it handles materials from 8” to 14” thick with a cutting window of 24”. The short cutting window allows a tight level of cutting accuracy. The standard backgauge supports materials from 12’ to 80’ in length, and can be customized to up to 100’. Multiple levels of automated material handling are included for loading and unloading, and modular automated systems are available.

Kastalon Rollercovers

The Kastalon covers both protects the extrusion from scratches and marring from the bare metal rollers and with the soft tacky material they help to stop the extrusions from moving once positioned.

Automatic Side Loading System

The side loader reduces labor by staging multiple loads of material and automatically loading the backgauge when the saw is ready for the next load.

Outfeed Conveyors

Straight Outfeed conveyor helps the saw continue to keep cutting while the operator has time to deal with the finished parts. The conveyor is used as a buffer station and automatically indexes forward.

Customizable Outfeed Systems

Outfeed systems can be customized to your specific needs depending on the size of the finished cut material. The system moves the finished cut parts to packing stations keeping the saw cutting highly improving throughput.

Backgauge Clamping System

The backgauge clamping is the most versatile way to hold material securely to the pusher helping to achieve tighter cutting tolerance especially on odd shapes or longer parts. The clamp will also remove the drop from the last cut placing it in a bin rather than an operator having to reach in to the blade area to remove it.

Automatic Retaining Device

The retaining device is mounted on the pusher and automatically pushes the material against the squaring rollers or squaring fence.

Solid Squaring Fence

The solid squaring fence is used for mainly cutting plate where a long straight edge is required.

Ball Transfers

Ball Transfers are standard on all plate saws but on CS4 & CS5 models where only solid plate is being is being processed the ball transfers can be added in place of rollers.

NF Series Backgauge Powered Rollers

For easy material loading of plates on the NF series backgauge; eliminates the need for front loading. The powered rollers come with a hand pendant so the operator can load the next plate from anywhere around the saw.
