Whether you make rounds, squares, rectangles, or ovals, or open profiles or panels, the engineering team begins with the basic details, such as the material type and dimensions; the mill or roll former type, configuration, and speed; and the welding process. For most tool applications, the preferred material is AISI D2, a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel that has very high wear resistance. For more demanding applications, the engineering team uses tungsten carbide.

The company’s extensive database contains tens of thousands of tool designs. It includes many of the most commonly required designs and highly engineered, unique designs for unusual applications.
